Hi Rick! Thank you for leaving a review for our DC-12™ product. We're glad to hear that it has solved your floppy door issue. We appreciate your feedback on the receiver and door mount and will definitely take those points into consideration for future improvements. What makes it look a bit awkward to you is the required strength we need to build into the Receiver, the forces involved are very, very high. Our intial design was much thinner with graceful lines and lightening holes, but in testing, that design would occasionally explode. So we opted for the 'IT WILL NEVER EXPLODE OPTION':).
