SKF Speedi-Sleeve provides an alternative to costly repairs for worn or damaged shafts. This thin-walled sleeve, specially developed by SKF, is simply positioned over the relevant part of the shaft and provides a smooth counterface that is optimized for radial shaft seals. Use of SKF Speedi-Sleeve can prevent the need for costly shaft treatments that may involve machining, hardening, plunge grinding or disassembly. SKF Speedi-Sleeve Gold is an enhanced version of standard SKF Speedi-Sleeve, offering improved resistance to abrasive wear.

Toyota CV axle

I had a problem getting the axle to quit leaking at the seal going into the transaxle, Replaced the seal and put a Speedi sleeve on the axle for extra measure and no more leaks :) I used a piece of PVC pipe to install the sleeve and it worked well :)

The Speedi Sleeve invention has yet to become fully mainstreamed. Its been around for 50+ years, yet time after time folks are replacing expensive assemblies when a Speedi Sleeve could have fixed it. Kudos to you for the use of an effective product and the clever use of PVC pipe to push that sleeve to where it needed to be. Thanks for your review, its greatly appreciated!
